Jack HoltJack Holt studies large ice masses both on Earth and on Mars. He uses geophysical techniques that allow a three-dimensional look into the subsurface, revealing ice sheet history and hidden geology. He has worked in Antarctica since 1998, flying over vast stretches of ice in a specially modified airplane equipped with a suite of unique instruments. His background includes both electrical engineering and geology, and he worked at NASA before becoming a Research Scientist in the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin.
