Diane ChakosDiane Chakos is a research assistant for Maria Vernet at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in San Diego, CA. She is part of the iceberg project, studying the impacts of free-floating icebergs on the surrounding environment, focusing on the role of phytoplankton. Diane loves being a part of Antarctic research and is excited to embark on her 6th cruise in the Southern Ocean.
