I've actually done many QTVR's in the past, but this newer and vastly higher resolution technology seemed appropriate. You can't zoom into a QTVR like you can a GigaPan and hard as it is to believe, the GigaPan robotic mount is actually cheaper than any QTVR rig I've ever seen. True, you can't host your own GigaPans (yet) as I don't think anyone has put out an open-source server yet, but they are so much more impressive. Thanks for the comment, Ron Spanky,

QTVR’s are so 90’s! I’ve actually done many QTVR’s in the past, but this newer and vastly higher resolution technology seemed appropriate.
