Andrea Balbas is an undergraduate student in geology at Queens College (CUNY) in New York City. She is part of the Offshore New Harbor Project, which will collect data about the seafloor sediments below the Ross Sea Ice Shelf in Eastern Antarctica. Andrea hopes to attend graduate school and earn her PhD in geophysics.
